South African Shark Conservancy Ambassador
In June 2019 Tom "The Blowfish" Hird became an Ambassador for the South African Shark Conservancy
This role involves working to highlight and support the incredible research work and shark education programs being undertaken by the SASC team
Tom first met the crew at SASC headquarters during the filming of series 1 of Fishing Impossible, immediately forming a bond over the love of shark, no matter the shape or size!

In April 2018 Tom "The Blowfish" Hird was invited to become an Ocean Ambassador by the Marine Conservation Society
This charitable role consists of working with the MCS to promote, support and champion some of the great conservation work being undertaken to protect our oceans.
Tom joins other passionate celebrities and conservationist, all focused on the same goal. Better seas for all and a healthy ocean for years to come.
